Today's warm up - a little Hockney-esque. Not that I should ever compare my work with the master. Let's say Hockney inspired - his umbrella is closed - emphasizing the loneliness. Also his horizon line is skewed and its portrayed as if you're floating above the umbrella - sort of detached from the scene, which makes the picture even more uncomfortable. Maybe I'll do it again. I guess mine is more ambivalent.

See, with the title of "Quickie," I had the idea that you were quietly reading a book under the umbrella when some hottie passed by and you two went off to the rocks somewhere... for a quickie. ;-)
